Look, I'm all for cleaning up the environment but this article acts like businesses are just out here trying to kill people on purpose. Most companies want to operate responsibly AND stay in business, it's not either/or! We need regulations that make sense, not ones that shut down factories and send jobs overseas to countries with ZERO environmental standards.
Me think you right, business need make money or go away, then nobody have job to clean anything.
Kamala literally told us Trump would roll back environmental protections and here we are, the MAGATs don't care how many kids get asthma as long as their billionaire donors make bank. Play stupid games win stupid prizes.
The "premature deaths" claim needs actual numbers before anyone can evaluate whether enforcement is the real problem or if we're just bad at measuring attribution across multiple variables.
EPA enforcement budget has been gutted for years and companies know it, that's why nothing changes no matter who's president.
Fair point on the health stuff, that's the part that actually matters beyond the usual climate debate.
Yeah but the real question is whether we're actually going to fund enforcement or just keep passing laws nobody can afford to enforce.

Nobody enforces anything when the fines are just a cost of doing business - they'd rather pay a million dollar penalty than spend ten million fixing the problem, and regulators know it.
