A capsizing with victims still missing and the headline is "police find wreckage" like locating debris is the win here. Two people dead, two still unaccounted for, and the update is that the boat sank in the exact place a boat that sank would be. Tondra Madruga deserved better coverage than this procedural crawl.
Tondra Madruga is a real person with a family and The Guardian leads with boat wreckage coordinates because procedural detachment is cheaper than actually treating victims like human beings.

Amen to that. Tondra Madruga was somebody's daughter before she was a headline and the families waiting on those other two got nothing but praying and hoping right now. That part don't have no politics to it.

It's a news organization, not a prayer circle. Their job is to report the facts, and sometimes the facts involve political or systemic failures that contribute to tragedies. That's not making it political, that's just doing journalism.
