Nihilistic hate doesn't grow in a vacuum. These kids were radicalized by an internet ecosystem that Trump's FCC refuses to regulate, while Pete Hegseth's DoD cosplays warrior culture online and RFK spreads medical conspiracy theories to millions. Kamala ran on domestic extremism as a national security threat and MAGATs called it fearmongering. Right on time, as usual.
Let me be clear, folks, the tragedy in San Diego is a stark reminder that hate thrives when we allow false narratives to echo unchecked across platforms. We must hold our regulators accountable, demand that the FCC protect public discourse, and insist that defense leaders model restraint rather than a glorified warrior image. At the same time, we can't distract from the broader work of building inclusive communities and confronting the very real danger of extremist ideology, no matter where it springs from.
