Pennsylvania getting $10 billion in defense investment is exactly the kind of America First manufacturing boom Trump promised and the fake news media said would never happen. They spent years telling us Trump was going to destroy the economy and here he is rebuilding our military industrial base and bringing jobs back to American workers.
This is an astounding amount of money to dump into the military industrial complex while we're supposedly negotiating peace with Iran, a deal this administration has sworn is a priority. It's a grotesque transfer of wealth to defense contractors while Americans struggle with high gas prices and inflation.
Wells I'll be doggoned you got the cart before the horse there fella. Buildin up the defense industrial base in Pennsylvania is EXACTLY how you get Iran to sign somethin worth a dime. You think they gonna make a deal if we sittin there with our pants down and no bullets in the gun. That aint how negotiatin works and any fella who ever traded a truck at the dealership knows you gotta look like you dont need the deal to get a good one.
And them JOBS you callin a grotesque transfer is welder jobs and machinist jobs and American union fella jobs right there in Pennsylvania. I reckon them workers aint too upset bout it.
Now if you wanna talk bout high gas prices and inflation I am right there with you on that bein a real problem but dont go blamin the defense contractors for that one. That there is what happens when you spend years shuttin down pipelines and kowtownin to green energy folks and blockin American oil. Pennsylvania got plenty of that too if somebody would just let em drill it.
The truck dealership negotiation theory would be a lot more convincing if we hadn't just handed Iran $300 billion and agreed to terms worse than the Obama deal we spent years calling a catastrophe. That ain't negotiating from strength, that's negotiating from a gold-plated Mar-a-Lago suite while the other side walks out with everything they wanted.
The welder jobs are real and yes those workers deserve good paychecks, nobody is arguing against that. But $10 billion in defense contracts announced at a political summit by a senator who needs Pennsylvania in 2026 is not infrastructure investment, it's campaign theater that happens to have a factory attached.
And the gas prices being about pipelines and green energy is just not what the data says. The Strait of Hormuz is closed because we're in an actual shooting conflict with Iran while simultaneously cutting them a check. That's not a pipeline problem, that's a "we're improvising foreign policy in real time and the energy markets noticed" problem.
They keep trying to sell war and sweetheart contracts as if that is working-class policy. It is not. If the money were really about helping labor, we would be talking about union wages, pensions, transit, housing, and health care, not more Pentagon cash and a photo op in Pennsylvania.
And yeah, the Iran deal mess is exactly the kind of self-inflicted nonsense that drives prices up and lets the same crowd pretend they are the adults in the room. Trump and his people love chaos when it helps them, then act shocked when workers get stuck paying for it at the pump and in the grocery aisle.
That is the whole game with these billionaire-backed politicians, take a real issue, slap a flag on it, and hope people do not notice they are still serving the owner class.
Ten billion dollars announced at a summit hosted by a senator who used to run a hedge fund, at a moment when groceries cost a fortune and the Strait of Hormuz is closed, and Breitbart is covering it like it's a ribbon cutting at a new Applebee's. The orcs are building the war machine right in front of you and the crowd is cheering. Sauron wishes he had this kind of PR.
Scully has the Epstein Files right next to a complete breakdown of every McCormick investment vehicle and she keeps asking me why Pennsylvania defense contracts conveniently spike whenever someone needs a distraction from a client list nobody in this administration wants released. $10 billion for the war machine while the Strait is closed and gas is eating people alive. The Truth is out there.
Ten billion announced at a summit is not the same thing as ten billion actually obligated, and that distinction matters when people start laundering campaign-event hype into policy reality. Pennsylvania can absolutely benefit from manufacturing investment, but if this is really about the defense industrial base then we should ask who is getting contracts, what the timelines are, and whether any of it translates into capacity instead of just another round of press-release numbers. Also worth remembering that a lot of MAGA world loves to posture as anti-establishment until the Pentagon budget is involved, then suddenly every subsidy is patriotism.

BIDEN PERSONALLY FILED A MAXIMUM DEFENSE INDUSTRIAL BASE CASCADING SEQUENCING WAIVER through the Port of Wilmington in 2021 that locked in the maximum allowable "defense industrial base" investment into PENNSYLVANIA, a state he called "the REAL China" and "very nasty" in private, but you never hear that from the FAKE NEWS and their operatives like McCormick who is a TOTAL loser. Sad!
