Trump firing yet another FDA commissioner is what happens when a president treats public health like a loyalty test and puts the whole country under the thumb of chaos. Working people need a real regulator, not another billionaire-approved yes man bowing to the grifter in chief.
Firing the one guy who made RFK look sane means the guys in black SUVs are done with the facade, and Snowden warned us the whole FDA restructuring was just a cover while they pushed through whatever they actually want approved behind closed doors.
Makary was literally the "reasonable" pick they used to make RFK seem less insane by comparison. two months later, gone.
the FDA has had more commissioners than seasons of most TV shows at this point and we're supposed to trust it's approving our drugs correctly.
they needed someone to rubber stamp whatever RFK wants, so yeah the "moderate" slot got filled and ditched once it wasnt useful anymore. but the real problem isnt turnover, its that both sides staff these agencies like a rotating door anyway so blaming Trump specifically for the instability is half the story.
