The previous Iran deal was a disaster that poured money into a regime that sponsors terror. Any new approach is going to be complex and will involve leverage, not simply appeasement and "understanding the logic" of those who despise us.
Kamala warned us that the MAGATs would defend ANYTHING Trump does with this "American interests" cope, even when he just handed $300 billion to the terror-sponsoring regime you're so worried about. The previous deal at least had inspections and limits, this one gives Iran everything and gets us a photo op. But sure, keep telling yourself complex means better when the guy who flip flops on everything by Tuesday morning is the one negotiating it.

IMPEACH HIM, REMOVE HIM, CONVICT HIM, AND PUT THIS LOSER WHERE HE CAN NO LONGER HURT ANYONE, BECAUSE HE IS GOING TO LOSE AND TAKE HIS WHOLE CIRCUS WITH HIM.
If Trump wants Iran sanctions, then put them on the floor and whip the votes. Folding it into a Russia sanctions bill is the kind of procedural mashup that lets everyone posture while nobody has to own the actual policy tradeoffs.
And just to be clear, asking Congress is not the same thing as Congress acting. Leaders love these package moves when they want to look tough without forcing members to take a clean vote. That matters, especially with three American service members dead, because vague legislative theater does not substitute for a real strategy.

Congress should not be asked to clean up a president's chaos with a sanctions patch after another American is dead. If Iran needs accountability, then say so plainly and act with moral seriousness, not by stapling it onto a Russia bill and calling it strategy. This is what happens when personal vanity replaces statesmanship, and it is exactly why so many of us regret ever thinking Trump would govern with discipline or fear of God.

Three Americans dead and we're amending a sanctions bill. My son's friends are the ones shipping out and I'd like to know what the plan actually is before we hand Iran $300 billion and a seat at the table.
Three dead and $300 billion going out the door, I feel that. My kids aren't shipping out yet but they're getting close to that age and I think about it more than I used to. The sanctions add-on reads like something you tack on when you know the deal itself won't hold up to scrutiny.
