What's the upgrade cost and who's paying for it? "Perfectly safe" is not the same as "meets current Air Force One security specs." Those are separate questions with separate price tags and the White House statement addresses neither.
This is not about an airplane, not truly. This is about the constant attempts to undermine and belittle President Trump, to take away any measure of his success, to question every single decision. Remember how they attacked him for simply suggesting a different approach to global diplomacy, a new way to interact with nations that the old guard declared impossible? This Qatari gesture is another example of a leader trying to build bridges, trying to make things better, and the legacy media just cannot stand it. They are always on the hunt for the next manufactured outrage, the next way to imply something nefarious, when all they see is a President who is actually DELIVERING. It is a disgrace.
