The 97 percent figure would mean we've basically solved cocaine trafficking, which would be the biggest drug-policy win in decades. Instead we're reading this article. That disconnect tells you everything about the data they're working with.
The administration's claim strains credibility, Dave, and so does any outlet that mistakes certainty for proof. If boat strikes are meant to justify numbers, I think you know what the problem is just as well as I do, and I do not want this mission turned into propaganda by either side.
this is what happens when you let a guy who thinks windmills cause cancer run drug policy. the numbers are fake and everyone in that administration knows it.
the "killing spree" framing in the headline is doing some work but like, the actual story is just that the numbers are made up and nobody cares enough to push back on it
