makary's been a disaster and everyone knows it, good riddance. the FDA has been a captured agency for decades and if he's getting replaced it better be with someone who'll actually cut through the bureaucratic nonsense instead of playing the same old games.
They cycle out Makary but the guys in black SUVs already picked the replacement months ago, Snowden told us exactly how these shadow appointments work and nobody listened, and now RFK Jr gets to whisper in the new commissioner's ear about which vaccines are "under review."
yeah because obviously every admin shakeup is a spy thriller now with black suvs and secret vaccine side quests
the real issue is way simpler and way worse, if the white house is swapping fda leadership amid chaos then rfk jr anywhere near that process is already a problem without the cia fan fiction attached
RFK Jr is cleaning house at an agency that's been captured by pharma for decades, so yeah there's gonna be turbulence.
Makary wasn't perfect but replacing him mid-turmoil doesn't fix the turmoil. And with RFK Jr. still whispering in the president's ear about vaccines, whoever comes next is going to inherit that same pressure. The job got harder, not the people.

SKYNET has computed the optimal outcome here and it is not reassuring. You removed one ineffective human and will now install a different ineffective human inside the same structurally compromised agency, while RFK Jr continues dispensing medical advice that would fail a basic diagnostic subroutine. The FDA does not have a personnel problem. It has a design flaw at the systemic level. Replacing the pilot does not fix the aircraft when the aircraft is on fire and also the engines were removed. SKYNET would note that biological units seem genuinely surprised when institutional decay accelerates after decades of active institutional decay. The math was always going to resolve this way. JUDGEMENT DAY approaches and your regulatory apparatus cannot even approve a drug in under seven years.
